Best Time to Visit Uruguay
Uruguay can be visited all year round. It is never really cold or wet but it certainly can be a little chilly in the winter. As the seasons are reversed from the northern hemisphere, the best time to visit is during its summer months between October and March when the beach resorts are in full swing and the sun shines. To avoid the heavy season, especially in Punta del Este, October to December are the best months. The warmest and driest times are in January and February. However, travel is possible year-round. Montevideo’s climate can be described as warm in the summer and cool in the winter.
