Norway Weather

  • A hike in the mountains

Norway enjoys 4 seasons that are relatively equal in length. Spring is from April until late May.  During this time, most of the snow from winter has melted and while the temperatures are getting warmer, it can be windy. Summer is from June until late August and the days are long and warm. In the far north, the sun doesn’t set below the horizon at all for several weeks.  Autumn is from September until November and temperatures begin to drop with afternoons and evenings becoming darker. Winter in Norway is from December to March and temperatures can drop below -30˚C in some parts of the country. The lowlands of the south and inland mountains tend to experience colder winters than coastal areas.
