This 7-day Botswana adventure takes you straight to the country’s best wildlife viewing, the Okavango – the country’s latest addition to the UNESCO World Heritage list – and Chobe National Park.

Land in Maun and transfer to Saguni Safari Lodge, where you can explore the awesome Moremi Game Reserve. This are is rich with wildlife, and Bushmen who had always lived in the region were allowed to remain when the area became a reserve.

Fly to the Okavango region, and enjoy a game drive en route to luxurious Kadizora Camp. On a full day here, enjoy a morning mekoro (traditional canoe) trip and an afternoon game drive. This wetland attracts many different types of animals, so expect some amazing sightings.

Transfer to Chobe National Park, home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations (estimated at 120,000). Your lodge overlooks a busy water hole, with viewing opportunities day and night as the animals come in to water. Safaris and boat excursions take you in for a closer look, and at night, you’ll hear the sounds of the African wilderness as you drift off to sleep.

Day 1

Arrive Maun

Upon arrival at Maun International Airport you will board onto a connecting flight that will take you to Dinaka Lodge.

Situated alongside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the focus of activities at Dinaka is exploring the Kalahari experience with wildlife ranging from giraffe to the antelope, small mammals, to predators including the Kalahari lion. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, with afternoon game drives often continuing into the evening.

    The northern areas of the delta feature larger expanses of savannahs punctuated by lagoons and tributaries, and it is on the banks of one of these that a magnificent site has been selected for Kadizora Camp. Beneath a majestic stand of trees and along a peninsula, commanding uninterrupted panoramic vistas of the delta, the camp has been set out to afford each luxury tent absolute privacy.

    Kadizora has luxury tents, each with generous living spaces, and surrounded by sophisticated furnishing, making time between exciting wildlife experiences comfortable and tranquil. In addition to open vehicle and walking safaris, mokoro excursions will provide the ideal position from which to explore the endless flow of rivers and tributaries, this tranquil experience permits close encounters with an abundance of bird and wildlife. The camp is reached after a short 40 minute flight from Maun.

Today you will have a game drive transfer to Mapula Air Strip to be transferred by light aircraft to Kasane International Airport. Then experience a road transfer from the airport to Elephant Valley Lodge, your accommodation for the next two nights.
