Prices From:
US$ 1,954

Experience cultural wonders and the majesty of the wild on this unforgettable journey to South Africa. Start in Cape Town, where you’ll explore the country’s most beautiful city, before connecting to the Eastern Cape where you’ll head on safari game drives in a private reserve and stay in a luxury game lodge.

This 8-day South African vacation takes you to picturesque Cape Town and a game reserve on the Eastern Cape.

Your South African tour begins in Cape Town, the gorgeous city located on the Cape of Good Hope. Located on the coast in the shadow of Table Mountain, Cape Town is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in South Africa. You’ll have time to explore both the city itself and the surrounding countryside. Spend a day learning about the city’s history, heading to Robben Island to see where Nelson Mandela was held prisoner for 18 years during apartheid or visit Bo-Kaap to learn about the local Muslim community. On other days, take advantage of the natural beauty of the Cape Peninsula. Head on a tour along the coast, cruising to Seal Island before winding along Chapman’s Peak Drive to Table Mountain National Park where you’ll see the penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach and enjoy legendary views of the coast. Alternatively, explore the winelands of Stellenbosch and sample vintages of some of the most famous wines in the country.

After savouring the natural and cultural wonders of Cape Town, continue your South African vacation by connecting to Ukhozi Lodge at the Kariega Private Game Reserve on the Eastern Cape. Spending three nights at this luxury game reserve, you’ll stay in one of 10 premium suites that transport you to the romantic past and come with air-conditioning, a private plunge pool, and a deck with panoramic views of the valley. Spend your days exploring the bush in search of the incredible wildlife within the game reserve. Each morning and afternoon, you’ll head on safari drives in the company of an expert game ranger, who’ll shepherd you through the wild and search out lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, and antelope. Retire with sundowners as the sun sets the sky and enjoy feasts of gourmet cuisine back at the lodge. Fall asleep each night to the sounds of the African savannah and the occasional noise of nocturnal animals waking for the hunt. At the end of your stay, you’ll connect to the airport to continue your onward journey.

Day 1

Arrive Cape Town

Cape Town is located in the southwest corner of South Africa near the Cape of Good Hope. With its unrivalled natural beauty, Cape Town is certainly a highlight of Southern Africa..

Originally intended as a supply station for Dutch ships en route to Eastern Africa, India and the Far East, by 1652, Cape Town had become the first permanent European settlement in South Africa. As time passed other settlements were created, yet the Cape Colony looked to Cape Town as its economic and cultural hub.

On arrival at Cape Town you will be met by a Goway Representative and assisted to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of the Mother City.
