Dune Hopper

Duration
4 Days
Prices From:
US$ 2,653

The Dune Hopper is perfect for the traveller short of time, but high in demand for excellent service and superior accommodation on the dunes of the magnificent and undisturbed Namib Desert.

Though known for the world’s highest sand dunes, Namibia also boasts an impressive array of wildlife, including many species unique to this region. Experience both, on this luxurious 4 day journey from Windhoek.

Sossusvlei is a section of the Namib Desert marked by towering red dunes surrounding a salt and clay pan. For most visitors, this is Namibia’s star attraction. The area’s surreal landscapes and dazzling colours offer an Africa like no other. You’ll visit nearby Sesriem Canyon, a 35 metre deep gauge eroded into the desert floor.

The Namib Rand Nature Reserve is one of the largest private reserves in southern Africa, offering visitors perfect tranquility, along with the chance to explore more spectacular landscapes. With a focus on conservation, the Reserve is also home to cheetahs, caracal, Cape foxes, giraffes, zebra and several species of gazelle. Learn about their habitats and follow the trail of the ancient Bushmen, before you return to Windhoek.

The building style is a combination of wooden structures and canvas blinds, opening up to the desert beyond. The lodge reflects the ambience of a tented camp, but provides the comfort and protection of a permanent building. Each of the nine spacious chalets and Mountain View suite offer ensuite bathrooms, and private verandah, which connects you to vast stretches of untouched sand.
