FIRST-CLASS | TAILOR-MADE: Explore Jerusalem’s biblical treasures on this first-class vacation. Discover the Mount of Olives, the Wailing Wall, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on a small group tour. Then head outside the city to explore the fortress of Masada and float on the Dead Sea.
This 4-day Israeli vacation showcases Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. It features first-class accommodations, small group tours, and private transfers.
Though Tel Aviv may be the beating heart of today’s Israel (and your port of entry), no city so captures the history and cultural impact of this incredible land like the capital, Jerusalem. This city stopover takes you to the Mount of Olives for a bird’s eye view before continuing to Mount Zion to see the tomb of King David, Dormition Abbey, and the room where Jesus held the Last Supper with his disciples. Then descend to explore the Old City, including the Armenian and Jewish Quarters, and the Wailing Wall before walking along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, located on the site where Jesus was buried.
Depart the city for a day and stop along the Dead Sea, the lowest point on land, before a cable car takes you to the peak of Masada, where 960 Jewish rebels chose death over enslavement to the conquering Romans. Modern Israeli troops are often sworn in amid these impressive ruins in a ceremony ending with the declaration, “Masada shall not fall again.” Return by way of the Dead Sea and enjoy a float and a chance to enjoy the therapeutic effects of the waters. Stop by the Qumran Caves, where archaeologists discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls, before returning to Jerusalem.
Transfer back to Tel Aviv for your departure, or stay a few extra days to enjoy the contrasts of a modern Israel in this lively city.
