Hwange National Park is situated in the north west of Zimbabwe and is the largest and most visited national park in that country, The Park enjoys one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa with over 100 animal species and 400 bird species. All Zimbabwe's specially protected animals are to be found in Hwange and it is the only protected area where gemsbok and brown hyena occur in reasonable numbers.

During your stay, you will enjoy a series of game drives on the two full days you spend in the park. At the end of your stay, you will be returned back to Victoria Falls.

Ivory Lodge 'Place of Elephants', located outside the Hwange National Park on a private concession of 6,000 squared acres is situated in the key home range of the Presidential Elephant herd, made famous by Alan Elliot in the 1980s. Only 1.5 hours from Victoria Falls Airport and easily accessible off the Bulawayo/Victoria Falls main road, this safari lodge comprises of seven elevated thatched tree house style rooms, as well as two grand tented presidential suites, all commanding great views of the very productive, private and extremely active waterhole. Guests have the opportunity to view some of Hwange's most prolific wildlife species from the comfort of their room or the main dining area. The most commonly viewed species from camp range from big cat carnivores to plains game to herds of buffalo and elephant, sometimes up to 500 strong. At Ivory Lodge, the rooms are fitted with mosquito nets and each unit is fairly open, offering an intimate but safe bush experience.

Travellers can enjoy the beautiful setting looking onto a waterhole which is frequented by elephants and other game. All chalets are waterhole facing and there will be a guide on site to walk clients to and from communal areas and chalets. Activities at Elephant's Eye include game viewing, guided educational walks, bird watching, and night game drives, all with trained field guides; swimming or enjoying sundowners while relaxing near the pool.

The Hide Safari Camp
In a large private concession on the eastern boundary of Hwange National Park, The Hide is also regarded as one of the most well situated safari camps in Hwange. The Hide is approximately 1.5 hours' drive from Hwange Airport - this transfer into camp is through the National Park and serves as an introductory game drive.
Guests are accommodated in 10 luxury East African tents with an en-suite shower, hand basin and toilet. The whole tent at this Zimbabwe lodging is under thatch and insect proofed. All the tents have a deck area with chairs where guests can relax.
The hotel offers candlelit dinners around their 22 seat dining room table, morning, afternoon and after dinner game drives in Hwange National Park, guided walks conducted by qualified guides, an underground game viewing hide at the edge of the camp's waterhole and a large game viewing area above the dining room.
