Day 1

Arrive Kapama Karula Lodge

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your private game lodge where you will be made to feel extra welcome. Check in and (time permitting) spend a few hours at leisure. This afternoon, depart on a safari drive in an open Land Rover with your game ranger. Your ranger is your host for the duration of your stay and he will take care of your every need whilst sharing his intimate knowledge of the wild. Sipping sundowners under an African sky somehow "finishes off" the whole day's experience.

Days 2 & 3

Kapama Karula Lodge

Up at dawn for your early morning game drive! Of course, the less energetic are welcome to sleep late! Search out a multitude of animals including lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard, cheetah and wild dog, together with a wealth of antelope and birds interacting in their natural environment.

Return to camp for a hearty breakfast, relax around the pool or talk with your ranger and mingle with the guests. Your afternoon game drive takes you well into the evening. Return to your lodge for another sumptuous dinner. Weather permitting you may enjoy a bush 'braai' at a surprise venue!

Day 4

Depart Kapama Karula Lodge

This morning (time permitting) you depart on your final game drive with the hope of spotting that extra special sighting. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Depart for the airport in time for your onward flight.

Prices are "from" per person based on twin/double share accommodation and for travel in low season. Seasonal surcharges and blackout dates may apply. Location: 

Kapama Private Game Reserve occupies a vast area between the northern Drakensberg mountains and the Greater Kruger National Park. It is the largest single-owner game reserve in the region, and is perfectly situated to receive guests flying into Eastgate Airport (Hoedspruit). This airport is just minutes from the reserve and Kapama include free airport transfers in open safari vehicle direct to any of the four lodges in Kapama; Kapama River Lodge, Kapama Buffalo Camp and Kapama Karula.

Kapama Game Reserve is in Limpopo Province, an area renowned for superb safari vacations. Consisting of seven luxury air-conditioned tents and five large exclusive suites are the epitome of luxury. Each with a his and hers basin, inside and outside shower and sliding glass doors that will wrap around the suite 260 degrees to offer guest the opportunity to have unrestricted views onto one of the most sought after locations – the Klaserie river. The 115m² suites are air-conditioned and comes with every form of luxury most can think of.

Game drives are conducted through the rolling savannah grasslands and riverine forests that make up this appealing African reserve.  Two daily game drives are part of the fully inclusive tariff and your skilled ranger and tracker do their best to find the animals of Africa for you to admire.

Get some African soil under your feet with a bush walk after breakfast. Explore the environment with your ranger, learn about curative properties of plants and identify animals from their footprints and dung. Large game is avoided when on foot but animals can often be seen from a safe distance. Please note that this will be done under ranger discretion.

There is also opportunity to do an Elephant Interaction or Elephant ride plus hot air ballooning all at an extra cost.  For your relaxation, there is a spa for treatments and a fully equipped gym.
