US$ 5,471

DELUXE | TAILOR-MADE: Experience Desert & Delta’s luxury safari lodges in three famous game reserves and national parks in Botswana. Head to Makgadikgadi Pans, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park to enjoy luxury accommodations and see lions, elephants, and cheetahs on safari game drives.

This 7-day Botswana vacation takes you to three luxury safari camps in Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park. It features deluxe accommodations, small group tours, and is ideal for high-end travellers.

Your journey begins in Maun, where you’ll fly into Makgadikgadi Pans National Park to stay at Leroo La Tau, a 4-star lodge built on the edge of a cliff overlooking the park and the saltpans. Staying in a thatched chalet with gorgeous views of the saltpans, you’ll head on a full day of game drives and wildlife viewing. If the water levels are high enough, head on a boat journey to spot zebra and wildebeest from the water. If it’s dry season, cross the pans in search of lions, cheetah, and spotted hyenas.

Fly to Moremi Game Reserve and connect to Camp Moremi, a 5-star property that accommodates a maximum of 22 guests in 12 thatch and timber safari tents. You’ll have a full day of morning and afternoon game drives to head through the different ecosystems of the reserve. You could spot a leopard resting in a mopane tree, an elephant grazing under a canopy, and a lion pride camouflaged in the bush.

Your final stop is Chobe National Park. Fly to Kasane and connect to Chobe Game Lodge, the only permanent lodge within the park’s borders. Indulge in luxury accommodations as you head on game drives through the park to see its vast population of elephants and herds of zebra and water buffalo crowding along the banks of the Chobe River.

At the end of your stay, connect to Kasane to continue to your onward destination.

Day 3

Makgadikgadi Pans National Park to Moremi Game Reserve

Following breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Moremi Game Reserve.

Moremi Game Reserve was the first wildlife sanctuary to be set aside by a Southern African community on their own land, when in 1963 the wife of Chief Moremi III decided to protect a third of the Okavango Delta for the future, and declared the Moremi Game Reserve in honour of her late husband.

Camp Moremi has a well-deserved legacy in the Botswana tourism industry for being able to deliver the classic African safari experience. Recently completely rebuilt, Camp Moremi boasts 12 expansive, modern styled thatched safari tents and accommodates a maximum of twenty-four guests.

Day 6

Chobe National Park

Early-morning and late-afternoon game drives are conducted by expert guides in open-sided 4x4 vehicles to ensure maximum visibility of Chobe National Park’s spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife. Riverside game viewing may be done from small and highly manoeuvrable boats, perfect for morning or sunset cruises.

Chobe's diverse wildlife roams in abundance – it is, for instance, home to the largest concentration of elephant in Africa. During the dry season these large herds, as well as vast herds of buffalo, congregate on the fertile flood plains along the Chobe River to drink, bathe and play. There are frequent sightings of lion, African wild dog, puku, red lechwe, sable, giraffe and roan antelope.
