Your luxury safari begins in Maun, where you’ll connect to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and Jack’s Camp, a 5-star property on the edge of a massive saltpan. Jack’s Camp is one of the most iconic accommodations in all of Africa, a collection of 10 luxury Bedouin-style safari tents set alongside desert-like saltpans. At Jack’s Camp, you’ll have two full days to enjoy a wide variety of activities and experience the camp’s pampering luxury. You can go horseback riding across the pan, meet San bushman and hike through the bush, spot meerkats and springbok on game drives, or simply relax back at the camp, taking advantage of the extensive on-site museum collection and the swimming pool tent, the only tent of its kind in Africa.
From Jack’s Camp, transfer to Khawi Private Reserve and the 5-star bush camp of Sable Alley. Overlooking a lagoon connected to the Khwai and Sable Rivers, Sable Alley offers massive 55-square metre tents and brand-new accommodations in a diverse region of Northern Botswana. At Sable Alley, you’ll have two full days to explore the 200,000ha of the park, heading on game drives to see lions and leopards and spotting the colourful birdlife that populate the hinterland.
At the end of your stay, connect back to Maun to continue your onward journey.

Maun to Jack's Camp
Depart Maun by light aircraft for the air strip at Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.
On arrival at the air strip, the Jack's Camp staff will greet you and transfer you to the camp.
The balance of the day is at leisure to relax or begin your exploration of the National Park.

Jack's Camp is situated on the edge of a vast saltpan, the remnants of a prehistoric super lake. One of the most iconic properties in Africa, the camp itself consists of ten luxurious and stylish old-world tents, complete with bhukara-muslin draped walls, Persian rugs, and vintage lithographs, as well as a private museum, a swimming pool pavilion and a decadent tea tent. Following breakfast bid farewell to Jack's Camp and transfer to the air strip for the short flight to the Khwai Private Reserve.
On arrival the staff from Sable Alley will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge.

Sable Alley is a complete rebuild of a favourite old bush camp. Overlooking a lagoon that's connected to the Khwai and Sable Alley rivers, just a stone's throw from the world-famous Moremi Game Reserve, this enviable location means the game literally comes to us. From the swimming pool, lounge, outdoor seating areas and all the guest's tents there are uninterrupted views of the resident pod of around 30 hippos and the large herds of plains game, elephant and buffalo coming to drink - an idyllic way to spend an afternoon, especially with a cold gin and tonic in hand. When you are ready to explore further afield, Sable Alley's expert guides are on hand to interpret the sights, smells, and sounds of the bush. The massive 440,000 acre Khwai Private Reserve comprises some of the most fantastically diverse habitats in northern Botswana, including riverine woodlands, open floodplains, rivers and mopane woodland.

Sable Alley
Two full days to enjoy the multitude of included activities.
Formerly known as NG18, Khwai Private Reserve is 200,000 hectares of pristine wilderness. The game viewing in the area around Sable Alley is fantastic, and you’ll find lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo all in close proximity as well as a multi-coloured array of birdlife. The custom designed safari vehicles seat a maximum of seven guests and only three vehicles are allowed at any sighting, meaning there’s not an overcrowded game drive in sight.
At night, dinner is served either in the indoor dining area, or alfresco on the deck, accompanied by twinkling stars and the rumblings and grumblings of the wildlife.
