Duration
12 Days
Prices From:
US$ 9,929

DELUXE | TAILOR-MADE: Discover the magic and splendour of Southern Africa on this 12-day luxury journey from South Africa to Botswana. Starting in Cape Town, you’ll venture to the Cape Winelands, Kruger National Park, majestic Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, and the waters of the Chobe River in Botswana.

This 12-day African vacation takes you to several countries on an epic journey starting in South Africa and ending in Botswana. Along the way, visit Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and dip into Namibia on a Chobe River cruise. It features deluxe accommodations, small group tours, and is a great choice for a first trip to Africa.

Your trip begins in Cape Town, South Africa’s loveliest city, sitting in the shadow of Table Mountain. Cape Town is one of the most attractive cities in the world and a vibrant display of the diversity of the Rainbow Nation. Spend a full day touring the Cape Peninsula to experience the natural beauty of the Cape of Good Hope. Drive along Chapman’s Peak Drive, visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, and stop by the penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach. Another day, walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandel on a Walk to Freedom Tour, which explores the history of apartheid and the nation’s long struggle for equality. You’ll visit the District Six Museum and Robben Island, where Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years, before ending the day with a performance of Kaapse Stories from the Mother City. On your final day on the cape, explore the Cape Winelands to savour the exquisite flavours of South African wine.

Fly from Cape Town to Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve on the outskirts of the park. While here, you’ll stay at Lion Sands Private Game Lodge, a 5-star safari lodge with 20 luxury thatched bedrooms set along the shorelines of a river. You’ll have two full days to enjoy the pampering accommodations and head on two daily game drives to search for lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo. Head on a bushwalk in the company of an expert ranger guide and learn how to track animals in the wild.

Connect to Livingstone in Zambia and cross the border into Zimbabwe to stay at Victoria Falls. Spend a full day exploring the falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. You’ll venture through the rainforest on the Zimbabwean side of the falls to see the Main Falls, as well as the Rainbow Falls and Livingstone Island. After standing in awe of the falling torrents of water, cross the border into Botswana and board the Zambezi Queen, a 5-star river vessel that’ll take you on a cruise down the Chobe River.

During your cruise, you’ll enjoy luxury on-board accommodations and spot the abundant wildlife living on either side of the river. Take an excursion into Namibia to tour a village in the Caprivi Strip. On the Botswanan side, spot waterbuck along the shoreline, hippos and crocodiles in the water, and herds of elephants in the wilds of Chobe National Park.

At the end of your cruise, connect back to Kasane for your return journey home.
