Pemba Island is known as "The Green Island" in Arabic and forms part of the Zanzibar Archipelago about 50 kilometres/ 31 miles off the coast of Tanzania. . Much of the coast is lined with mangroves and lagoons plus there are stretches of sand and some idyllic uninhabited small islands. The coral reefs provide the best diving in East Africa. The terrain is hilly and fertile, hence the Arabic name. The capital is called Chake-Chake.
On arrival at Chake-Chake, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for a 3 night stay. Your time here is totally at leisure to enjoy both the resort and the island.
