US$ 5,311

Experience the best of the beach and the bush on this unforgettable journey to southeastern Africa. Start in South Africa, where you'll spend a few nights at a luxury safari lodge and head on game drives to see lions and black rhinos. Then connect to the coast in Mozambique to stay at a luxury resort and spend your days sun-tanning and swimming through the waters of the Indian Ocean.

This 8-day South Africa vacation takes you from a game reserve in Kruger National Park to the picturesque coastline of Mozambique.

After arriving in Johannesburg, you'll transfer to Kruger National Park and the Lions Sands Private Game Reserve to begin your South African safari. At Lion Sands Tinga, you'll enjoy a 5-star luxury game lodge that transports you back in time to a world of refinement and elegance. Staying in a premium suite, you'll enjoy the lodge's wide-open spaces and incredible views of the savannah with frequent wildlife sightings. In addition to the refinement of the lodge, you'll also have access to the wellness treatment room, the massive infinity swimming pool, and the gourmet restaurant.

At Lion Sands Tiga, you'll head on two game drives per day in the company of expert field guides and trackers. Search for the Big Five from the comfort of your safari vehicle or head on walking safaris into the bush to spot a jackal or serval in the midst of the hunt. You might also see some rare black rhinos, as Lion Sands has the highest concentration of these endangered mammals in all of South Africa.

After exploring the bush, you'll turn your sights northeastward to the coast. Connect to Mozambique and Santorini Mozambique, a white-walled beach resort that captures the elegance and romance of its namesake Greek island. This 5-star luxury resort boasts panoramic views of famous Vilanculos Bay, a gorgeous stretch of coastline in Mozambique. You'll stay in a suite with a private patio, air-conditioning, and incredible panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.

Spend your time taking advantage of the white-sand beaches and clear waters of the ocean. Snorkel through the waters of Bazaruto National Park, one of the largest marine reserves in the Indian Ocean. Spot dolphins, whales, sharks, and other species of marine life in the reserve that boasts over 2,000 species of fish. You also might see giant lobsters or some amphibians as well. When you're not exploring the waters, relax on the gorgeous beaches or enjoy a massage in the resort spa. Dine on gourmet food in Santorini Mozambique's restaurant or enjoy a cocktail beside the pool.

At the end of your stay, you'll connect to the airport in Vilanculos to return home or continue your onward journey.

Lion Sands Private Game Reserve

Lion Sands Kruger National Park is one of only seven private concessions in the Kruger National Park. A 5,000 hectare private concession with the highest concentration of Black Rhino in South Africa. It is the only private reserve with access to both the Sabie and Sand Rivers enhancing diversity of game viewing. It is also only 5 minutes away from Skukuza airport. The lodge provides easy access to all areas of historical significance in the Kruger National Park and the greater Kruger National Park if guests request to extend their safari experience beyond the concession territory.

The Lodge style is subtle, sophisticated and serene, with grand open spaces. The main areas are double volume, opening onto a wooden deck. Sit at the fire-side in the lounge, with a glass of South African wine, appreciating your own company or that of newfound friends. Game Drives are conducted twice a day, in the company of expert Field Guides and Trackers. Vehicles move off road through rough and unchartered terrain, tracking the many animals of the bush. The lodge also provides Walking Safaris which are the perfect way to forge a one-on-one connection with Africa. Here you get a glimpse of what it must have been like a century ago, when pioneers and hunters made their way through The Kruger National Park and Sabi Sand in search of big game, and to find a suitable piece of land on which to build their families and fortunes.
