Ultimate South Africa: Cape Town, Franschhoek & Greater Kruger National Park

DELUXE | PRIVATE-GUIDED: This luxurious South Africa safari lets you explore both sides of the country, from the vibrant and diverse Western Cape, to the unrivalled national parks and game reserves of the northeast.
This 9-day deluxe, private-guided trip through South Africa explores the Western Cape in detail before taking you to your African safari to the northeast, where you’ll have a good chance of spotting the Big 5 and more in vast Kruger National Park.
Landing in Cape Town, enjoy a few days in South Africa's beautiful "Mother City." The city offers plenty to see and do between majestic Table Mountain and the ocean. A Cape Peninsula tour takes you along the stretch of coast known as Millionaire’s Paradise, passing Cape Town’s most luxurious homes. Follow Chapman’s Peak Drive—a trip that earns well deserved comparisons to California’s coastal road, and visit the historic naval port of Simon’s Town, and the penguins of Boulder’s Beach. Your day ends at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Because there’s so much to do in Cape Town, you’ll enjoy an extra day at leisure. Consider a trip to the top of Table Mountain, or out to Robben Island, once the infamous political prison that held Nelson Mandela. Take a township tour or the Walk for Freedom to glimpse not just South Africa’s brutal apartheid past, but its achievements since then, and its hope for the future.
Then transfer to Franschoek, a major food and wine region for South Africa, and home to an increasing number of award-winning estates. Climb aboard the wine tram to sample the best flavours of the valley. Ready to go bush (in style, of course!)? Fly to Royal Malewane, a private reserve in the greater Kruger National Park. The game viewing here is exceptional, with over 130 mammal species and over 300 varieties of bird. You’ll see an abundance of wildlife on game drives, guided bush walks, and other activities available at the reserve, with time at leisure if you need to relax before returning home.

Arrive Cape Town
On your arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by Goway's local representative who will guide you through the airport to your waiting vehicle that will be transporting you to Cape Town where the next three nights will be spent at the, The Silo, located right on the waterfront. Arrive and check in before spending the rest of the day at leisure. Cape Town is historically, culturally and visually, the most diverse, breathtakingly scenic and vibrant city you'll have had the pleasure of visiting...and it's here where your journey begins. Known fondly as the Mother City, Cape Town has everything for the curious traveller who enjoys the good life in all its colours and guises. From exquisite wine farms in magnificent green settings, to a long and captivating history and architecture, there'll be little doubt in your mind why it's voted one of the world's finest cities to visit. The Silo is a magical space towering above the V&A Waterfront surrounded by the natural wonder of South Africa's Mother City. The building has been designed by Thomas Heatherwick, Founder and Principal of the London-based Heatherwick Studio. Heatherwick Studio was tasked with the transformation of the elevator house and the adjacent storage annex of six rows of seven silos, while carefully retaining its cultural significance and creating a building that will be as synonymous with the Cape Town skyline as the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. From the outside, the greatest visible change to the building's original structure will be the addition of pillowed glazing panels, inserted into the geometry of the hotel floors, which will bulge outward as if gently inflated. By night, this will transform the building into a glowing lantern or beacon in the harbour.
