Paris & Maldives Love Affair

Today is at leisure to discover Paris. 

Paris is known as the “City of Light”. The origin of this name comes from the Middle Ages which was the period of enlightenment. It is also known as the Capital of Fashion, which is no surprise when one thinks of all those famous French designers. This beautiful and romantic city, in many respects, resembles an outdoor museum with its attractive and elegant architecture and wide boulevards. In fact, a large section of the centre of the city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Paris is made up of 20 districts called Arrondissements, each one giving a different perspective to the city. The meandering River Seine dissects the city and adds enormously to the character and beauty of travel to Paris. 

Take a tour by air-conditioned panoramic coach and enjoy the opportunity to see Paris and learn about its history and most famous sights through an audio guide commentary. Marvel at Paris's best-known sights: Place Vendome Square, the Opera House, the Pantheon, the Luxembourg Palace and Gardens, the Orsay Museum, Place de la Concorde Square, the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe (Arc of Triumph), and the Invalides.

At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, step aboard for an hour-long musical cruise along the Seine with an audio guide. Marvel at the amazing architecture of the heart of Paris's most prestigious monuments lining the banks of the Seine: the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Orsay Museum, the Conciergerie. Then, with your priority access, skip the line and speed up by elevator to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower, Paris's most unmissable monument.

This tour ends at Place de Sydney.

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the Maldives.

Upon arrival into the Maldives, you will be met and transferred to your hotel by speedboat, remainder of the day at leisure.

Your stay in the Maldives is completely at leisure. You can simply sit on the beach or the verandah of your hotel and with a cocktail in hand, watch the sunset. Or you can take part in one of the many water sports such as diving, snorkeling, sailing and windsurfing.    If you are a diver, expect to see amid the coral reefs in the clear blue waters which abound here, mantas, sharks, hammerheads as well as swarms of colourful tropical fish. In fact, there are 200 species of coral and over a thousand different species of fish!

Your day is at leisure until your speedboat transfer back to Velana International Airport airport for your return flight to North America.
