Romantic Bali

On arrival at Denpasar Bali Airport you will be met by Goway's local representative and assisted with the arrival formalities. Transfer to the reort after which you are at leisure for the balance of the day.

Get picked up from your hotel in the morning by Vintage VW, and drive to Bukit Peninsula. The Peninsula is the southernmost tip of Bali island, surrounded by high cliffs protecting the island from the rough Indian Ocean. The drive along the coast will be passing dry-savannah-like terrain, with resorts lining on one side and blue ocean in the distance. The first stop is Pandawa, a pristine beach with a width of around 1km, adorned with sculptures. Enjoy your time here before continuing the drive to the Luxury Spa, where you will have a 2-hour Spa Treatment with ocean view. Lunch will be served after Spa.

The afternoon visit will be the Uluwatu Temple. Perched on the edge of a steep cliff, the temple sits 70 meters above the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean. The temple is inhabited by a large number of monkeys, many of whom can be found roaming the pathways.

From Uluwatu, drive down to Jimbaran in time to board the boat which was inspired by local fisherman's boat. Cruise along the scenic Jimbaran Bay, past impressive resorts and beaches such as Balangan, Dreamland and Bingin that lie under the cliffs of the peninsula. Eventually you will also see Uluwatu temple standing elegantly at the tip of the cliff. Keep your cameras ready to capture shots of this mystical temple from the water. As a respect to nature, the boat captain will perform a Balinese ritual by floating an offering into the ocean in front of the temple. The boat will then sail back to Jimbaran just in time to watch the changing colours of the sky during sunset. Back on shore and drive back to hotel.

A full day to explore Seminyak at your own pace.

Seminyak is known as the most sophisticated, fashionable and upscale beach area in Bali. Located on the western side of the island, the waters can be rough and any surfing here is for experts. It is reasonably secluded with a selection of good restaurants and boutique shops. In the evening, there is a lively ambience. One major attraction is the glorious, technicolour sunsets which can be experienced here. Nearby is the centuries-old Petitenget Temple, well worth a visit.

Following breakfast you are transfered to Ubud, in Bali's uplands area.

The balance of the day is free to explore town at your own pace.

This afternoon, meet your guide and drive to the stunning coastal Tanah Lot temple located on a rock island in the sea. Without a doubt, it is the most famous and photographed place in Bali. This sacred Hindu temple sits majestically on a large offshore rock which has been shaped over the years by the crashing waves of the surrounding sea. After taking in the views of the temple exterior and the unusual rock formations, drive to nearby Mengwi for an unforgettable Balinese dinner.

On arrival, make your way through a rice field along a path illuminated by flaming torches. The flickering lights lead you to a traditional Balinese pavilion that overlooks a small river and the surrounding rice paddies. Take a seat at the table and relax while the waiter brings many traditional dishes. This elaborate meal consists of flavorful Indonesian dishes accompanied by rice. To further compliment the meal, you will be served a bottle of chilled Tunjung Brut, a sparkling Balinese wine produced from Indonesian grapes.

Following dinner, you'll be transferred back to your hotel.

Experience a hands-on cooking class and learn how to whip up some delicious traditional Balinese dishes! The morning starts by meeting your host and the other guests who are joining the class. Together stroll around the colourful market in Ubud where the locals bargain for the best produce. Browse the stalls piled high with colourful vegetables, tropical fruits, exotic spices and fragrant herbs. The host will explain the different produce, how it is used in Indonesian cuisine, and will offer tips on selecting the best ingredients. Back at the cooking class, you will be shown how to recreate age old traditional dishes using curries, sambal and the freshest seasonal vegetables. The class is completely hands-on so you will grind the different spices and learn how to use the various utensils in preparing the dishes. The class ends with a delicious lunch where you get to enjoy your own  homemade Balinese feast.

This full day tour showcases Bali's breathtaking landscapes, including its world-renowned rice terraces. The journey takes you through back roads of quaint villages to Pejaten, where you can observe the traditional tile-making industry. Next, proceed to Tegal Linggah village to visit the revered Batukaru Temple. Nestled amidst the tranquil tropical rainforest on the slopes of Mount Batukaru, this ancient temple is considered one of the most sacred on the island. From there, venture through expansive rice fields to reach the vibrant fruit and flower market at Candi Kuning, followed by a visit to the 17th-century Ulun Danu water temple situated along the serene Lake Beratan shoreline.

Following breakfast you will be transfered to Uluwatu.

The balance of the day is at your leisure to relax or explor the Uluwatu region.

Uluwatu is home to the Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple, a Balinese Hindu sea temple.
