Experience the many sides of Australia on this incredible Aussie Escape, which includes international airfare. Spending two weeks in Australia, you’ll explore the cities of Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney and see incredible natural wonders and wildlife as you journey to Kangaroo Island and Uluru/Ayers Rock.

This 15-day Australian vacation showcases the cities, wildlife, and Outback of Australia, taking you to Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney and exploring the Great Ocean Road, Kangaroo Island, and Uluru/Ayers Rock. International airfare is included in the cost, making it an affordable sampling of Australia's many wonders.

Your journey begins with a trans-Pacific flight crossing the international dateline that takes you to Melbourne, the country’s cultural capital and one of the most livable cities in the world. You won’t find a better mix of arts and culture and high living standards anywhere else in the country. On your first fully day in the city, head on a sightseeing tour to see the city highlights. Begin in Federation Square, home to the city’s trendy laneway and rooftop bars, before seeing other sights like St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the traditional neighbourhood of St. Kilda’s. Climb the Eureka Tower for spectacular views of the city. Later in the day, head to the Koala Conservation Centre to see koalas in their natural habitat. At sundown, reach Phillip Island where you’ll see the adorable Little Penguin parade where hundreds of pint-sized Little Penguins waddle onto shore at sunset.

From Melbourne, begin a journey through the best of Victoria and South Australia. Drive along the Great Ocean Road and pass through the breathtaking temperate rainforest before reaching Apollo Bay. The next day, drive along infamous Shipwreck Coast and spot the 12 Apostles, stunning rocky outcrops along the coastline. Continue to Port Campbell and the Tower Hill Game Reserve where you can see kangaroos and emus among other native Australian animals. On the final day of your adventure, visit the Coonawarra wine region and descend into the caves of Naracoorte Caves National Park before reaching Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.

Adelaide boasts a refined atmosphere and lovely Victoria architecture throughout its quiet streets. Head on an insider’s walking tour to marvel at some of the government and university buildings before learning about the city’s arts scene with a trip to the art gallery and the Artlab, where experts restore deteriorating books and artworks. From Adelaide, connect to Kangaroo Island, Australia’s own version of the Galapagos Islands. On Kangaroo Island, you’ll see a stunning variety of the many animals that call Australia home. Visit Seal Bay Conservation Park to spot a sea lion colony before heading to the Raptor Domain to see all manner of birds of prey. Later in the day, spot penguins waddling along the coast, wallabies hopping through the grass, and snakes and reptiles in the confines of Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. The next day, head to Flinders Chase National Park to see the stunning Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch before heading back to Adelaide to connect onward.

From Adelaide, fly to the Red Centre of the Northern Territory. Spend the afternoon and evening at Kata Tjuta/The Olgas to see the sunset over these incredible sandstone domes and learn about the region’s cultural history. An early rise the next day lets you enjoy mighty Uluru/Ayers Rock at first light, when the first beams of sunlight illuminate the massive sandstone monolith that has been central to Indigenous Australian life for millennia. After marvelling at the sunrise, head to the Mutitjulu Waterhole and the local cultural centre to learn more about the local Anangu people. That evening, you’ll enjoy a stunning demonstration of the Field of Light, where 50,000 glass spheres light up the landscape around Uluru, transforming the Outback into a magical field of light.

From the Red Centre, connect to Sydney and your final stop on your Australian vacation. Sydney is the nation’s largest city and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Take a two-hour cruise to see its most famous sights from the waters of the harbour, including the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Continue to the historic Rocks neighbourhood to learn about the city’s foundation as a penal colony before reaching Bondi Beach, where surfers from around the world come to surf the harbour’s breaks. At the end of your stay, connect to the airport to fly back home.
