You will be picked up by boat from your hotel to go looking for the incredible humpback whales around Bora Bora. Whales come to French Polynesia’s warm waters between August and October to mate and give birth. Once whales have been sighted your guide will stop, giving you time to admire them. Being near these wild mammals is an unforgettable experience. Your guide will decide how close you can get. The wellbeing of the whale is of top priority. Your guide will also decide if there is an opportunity for you to get in the water. Snorkelling with the with whales is possible but it is not guaranteed (it depends on weather conditions and the mammals' behaviour). We recommend snorkelling only to good swimmers as whale watching is always in open waters.
