Enjoy a private, guided tour through the Australia Zoo with your very knowledgeable guide. As you pass the Glasshouse Mountains learn about the Irwin family and how the humble little park became one of Australia's best tourist destinations.
Filled with hundreds of unique, amazing animas from around the world, the zoo has a heavy emphasis on conservation of Australia's unique fauna. You're encouraged to get "hands on" and pat, hold and feed where possible. For guests that would like to spend some time wandering themselves, no problem.
Some of the animal highlights today include koalas, snakes, wombats, kangaroos, dingo, cassowary and exotic animals such as red pandas and tigers. Don't forget the African section with giraffes, cheetahs and rhinoceros. Other animals include otters, turtles, eastern water dragons (big lizards), camels and rhinoceros iguanas!
Enjoy great seats in the 'Crocoseum' for the main show of the day - the superb 'Wildlife Warriors'. You'll also see a variety of birds-of-prey and other beautifully coloured endangered species from around the world. Lunch and afternoon tea is also included.
Your zoo visit ends by seeing the new multi-million dollar animal hospital, built by Steve in honor of his Mum, from whom he got his wildlife passion.
Please note that because your tour is private, if you finish early, you have the option of a sub-tropical rainforest walk, visiting a cute mountain village, visiting the gorgeous beachside town of Caloundra or see some of the Brisbane City sights.
