Captain Cook: Four Cultures Discovery Cruise

Duration
8 Days
Prices From:
US$ 1,846

This special cruise itinerary explores the hidden side of Fiji, one blessed with natural beauty and a surprising amount of diversity.

This 8-day cruise invites you to explore the northern islands of Fiji and meet the many cultures that inhabit these beautiful islands.

Departing Tivua Island, just northwest of Viti Levu, visit the Kioa Islanders and explore the pristine reefs of this less-touristy corner of Fiji. You’ll also meet the Banabas and Ellice peoples of Rabi Island. On Vanua Levu, Fiji’s second largest island, you’ll visit a local school and if you choose, dive or snorkel on the world’s third longest barrier reef. A traditional ceremony and lovo feast completes your day.

Go ashore in Labasa for a taste of Fijian agriculture – and Bollywood! Indo-Fijians make up almost 40% of the country’s population. Despite some political differences, their influence on Fijian culture has created one of the most unique blends in the South Pacific. Cruise around the natural cays and reefs of Galoa and Nanuku Islands, perhaps taking a glass-bottom boat tour to see them at their finest. Your final destinations are Nananu-i-ra and Manava Cay. Enjoy one last day of beach activities, then dress to impress (perhaps even try some traditional attire) for a gala farewell dinner.
