Itinerary
Arrive Fraser Island
Your tour starts at 9am today, check out some of Fraser's coolest inland sights. Get up close and personal with the resident freshwater turtles at Basin Lake. Continue to Central Station with peaceful, ancient rainforest and the reminders of a former, once bustling logging camp. Walk along the banks of the silent flowing Wanggoolba Creek with lush green rainforest and rare king ferns... just breathtaking before your stop at Pile Valley - with its towering satinay trees. Continue to Lake McKenzie - with its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, picture perfect Lake McKenzie is even prettier than the postcards. Enjoy a refreshing afternoon swim before heading back to Kingfisher Bay.

Set in Eucalypt forest the Kingfisher Wilderness Lodge offers multi-share lodge style, each lodge sleeping 16-20 people in modern quad and twin share room. Bathrooms are spacious and clean and all bedding, linen and towels are supplied. The lodge features a large screened living area and deck, ceiling fans, iron, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Located adjacent to the Wilderness Lodge is the Wilderness Bar. Featuring the latest in sound, lighting and party games, the bar opens from 7pm until the wee small hours.

Fraser Island 4WD Touring
An early start to explore Seventy-Five Mile Beach, the world's most amazing beach highway, visit Eli Creek - a great spot for a refreshing dip! Float down this fast-flowing freshwater creek which pours out 80 mega litres of water daily, see Maheno Shipwreck - washed ashore during a cyclone in 1935, this rusting wreck is one of Fraser's essential photo stops as are the Coloured Sands, vibrant red sand cliffs. Continue to Indian Head - climb to the top of this rocky headland for awesome beach and ocean views... look out for sharks, rays and humpback whales (Jul - Nov). Finally we visit the Champagne Pools - you won't want to leave these bubbling ocean rock pools.

Fraser Island 4WD Touring
A relaxed day visiting a few of Fraser's lesser known treasures. Walk through cool rainforest to beautiful emerald-green Lake Wabby, Fraser's deepest lake and a favourite swimming hole, then trek over Hammerstone Sandblow - one of Fraser's vast desert-like sand blows. You head to Eurong Beach Resort for a relaxed poolside BBQ at the Beach Bar, overlooking Seventy-Five Mile Beach, lastly visit Lake Birrabeen - with its sparkling clear waters and dazzling white beaches... it's a great way to finish the tour! The tour ends at approximately 5.45pm... then you will be dropped off straight to your Hervey Bay accommodation for some well-earned rest!
