Islands, Dolphins & Beaches

Prices From:
US$ 739

Enjoy the islands and beaches of coastal Queensland. Feed wild bottlenose dolphins on Tangalooma Island, photograph the magnificent Heart Reef off the Whitsundays and feel impossibly white sand between your toes on Whitehaven Beach.

This 7-day tour takes you to the resort areas of Tangalooma Island and Airlie Beach in coastal Queensland.

Starting in Brisbane, head across Moreton Bay to Tangalooma Island Resort, a comfortable beachside resort with a whole host of amenities. Best of all, it offers the opportunity to feed wild bottlenose dolphins, who swim up to the shoreline each evening for feeding. In addition to this intimate encounter with one of the smartest animals on the planet, you can parasail across the bay or snorkel along the shipwrecks lining the island. For a romantic outing, take a cruise out onto the bay to watch the sunset on the water.

From Tangalooma, head north up the coast to Airlie Beach and the heart of Whitsundays. The Whitsundays are excellently situated to access the Great Barrier Reef. Attend the Saturday morning markets to sample local food and crafts before taking a boat tour around the reef. Swim in the warm waters of Airlie Lagoon and take an excursion out to Heart Reef, a magnificent reef formed in the shape of a heart.

From Airlie Beach, visit nearby Hamilton Island, one of the most popular resort destinations in all of Australia. Stroll down Front Street to take the tempo of the town before heading to the Hamilton Island Wildlife Park to cuddle a koala. Afterwards, visit Whitehaven Beach, one of the most gorgeous beaches in the world. The sand of Whitehaven is impossibly pure and fine, unlike any other sand in the world. Stroll down the beach and dip in the water to appreciate the majesty of this natural area.

This tours allows you to appreciate the majesty of coastal Queensland from the comfort of beachside idylls.
