Duration
13 Days
Prices From:
US$ 3,499

Take in the Icons of Oz and the country’s natural splendour on this Australia vacation. Passing from Australia’s southern coast to northern Queensland and back down to New South Wales, you’ll experience both the famous cities of Melbourne and Sydney and explore the waters of the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.

This 13-day Australia vacation takes you from Melbourne to the Great Barrier Reef before closing out in style in famous Sydney with its iconic harbour.

Your Australia vacation begins in Melbourne, the world’s most livable city and one of the great cosmopolitan centres the world over. It won’t take you long to see what makes the capital of Victoria so attractive. Take a tour to get up to speed on the landmarks, visiting St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Fitzroy Gardens, before exploring the laneways, arcades, and rooftops of Federation Square. Your city tour is combined with a trip to Phillip Island to see the heartwarming penguin parade, where hundreds of Little Penguins arrive from the sea and waddle onto land. Your tour also includes a visit to Churchill Island and the Koala Conservation Centre. With the rest of your time in Melbourne, you can explore its arts and culture, indulge in its excellent culinary scene, feel like a kid at the famous amusement park, Luna Park, or take advantage of the nearby Yarra Valley to enjoy some of the country’s best wine.

Qantas

From Melbourne, head north to the Whitsundays in Queensland and specifically Hamilton Island, one of the most popular resort destinations in the whole country. There’s a reason the whole world loves Hamilton Island; with its incredible atmosphere, robust tourist economy, and charming town core, you’ll find everything you need to have an unforgettable beachside vacation here. Stroll down Front Street to get acquainted with the town before taking to the water to explore the underwater ecosystems of Hardy Reef. A Great Barrier Reef cruise will introduce you to the world’s largest living structure and take you beneath the waves so you can get acquainted with the thousands of marine species that call the reef home.

Qantas

After exploring the reefs of Hamilton Island and relaxing on its beaches, head south to Sydney to close out your Australia vacation. Sydney is the nation’s largest and most famous city. You’ll find several of the country’s icons within its city limits, so a tour is essential if you want to experience all the highlights. A sightseeing tour will take you to the premiere icon, the Sydney Opera House, as well as the beach highlights of Darling and Bondi. The next day, finish off your exploration of the tourist highlights on a Hop On Hop Off tour, heading to Taronga Zoo and cruising across the harbour for incredible views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Don’t feel limited to the tourist sites in Sydney, however. This massive city abounds with opportunity, from the bars and restaurants that continue to expand with international flavour, to the nearby Blue Mountains where you can head on incredible hikes.

Qantas

Sydney’s combination of incredible natural highlights and charming urban environments embodies the essential appeal of this Australia vacation.
