Lux Boutique Australia Retreat

Duration
15 Days
Prices From:
US$ 8,249

Wih an emphasis on unique luxury experiences that emphasise Australia's natural assets, this Australia trip visits the beautiful Whitsundays, and Ayers Rock, with a few days of sightseeing in Sydney.

From glittering beaches to the ultimate symbol of the outback, this 15-day, three-city trip takes you to three very different Australian destinations, Hamilton Island, Sydney, and Ayers Rock.

Start by getting away from civilization on Hamilton Island, in the beautiful Whitsundays. Staying at Qualia, you’ll have the Great Barrier Reef at your fingertips, with time to snorkel, dive, relax on the beach, or explore the reef with marine experts. Quaila is the kind of resort where it’s very easy to lose a sense of the outside world, and so is perfect for shaking off any jetlag, as well as seeing the best of the reef.

Sydney fulfills all your wildest expectations, offering all the sights and sensations of a world class city with some of Australia’s best beaches right beside its most affluent suburbs. Take an historic small group tour through the Rocks district, learning about Sydney’s sometimes sordid past. Then see the highlights of the city including Bondi Beach, the Queen Victoria Building, and Mrs Macquarie’s Point, before being dropped at either Circular Quay or Darling Harbour. Then catch the best possible views of the city – from the water – as you embark on a luxurious luncheon cruise. With a three course BBQ lunch.

qantas Whitsundays

The following day, see a completely different side of Sydney as you embark on a wilderness and Aboriginal culture tour through Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, exploring the hidden bays and coves of these beautiful waterways. Pirates, smugglers, soldiers, convicts…all have left their stories here, but predating them all are the Gungai people, who thrived in this area for centuries. You’ll see some of the most important rock carvings in Australia, and see Aboriginal heritage sites only visible from the water. See demonstrations of the didgeridoo, plus spear throwing with a woomera. You can even try some bush tucker along with your more traditional Australian lunch.

Fly to the ultimate symbol of the Aussie outback, Ayers Rock. Staying in comfort at Longitude 131, spend three nights here, exploring the area surrounding Uluru, and understand its deep significance to the local indigenous people. Your personal guide will also take you to Kata Tjuta, otherwise known as the Olgas. This is thought to have once been a monolith even bigger than Uluru, which has been eroded over time into distinctive domes, said in legend to be the eggs of the Rainbow Serpent. This is just the beginning of the tales you hear as you explore these sacred sights, ending with a visit to Kantju Gorge at dusk.

Enjoy one final night in Sydney before your flight home.
