Melbourne & Sydney with Virgin Australia

Duration
11 Days
Prices From:
US$ 2,169

An ideal short Australia vacation for independent Globetrotters and urban explorers, this air-inclusive Australia trip focuses on Melbourne and Sydney, showcasing Australia at its most cosmopolitan.

This 11-day trip offers four nights each in Melbourne and Sydney, with plenty of time at leisure to explore these world class cities your way.

Start in Melbourne, the cultural, culinary, fashion, sports, nightlife, and artistic capital of Australia. You’ll have three days at leisure, with an iVenture Multi City Attraction Pass in hand. This allows you to choose three top of Melbourne's top attractions, depending on your interests. Over thirty eligible attractions include the Eureka Skydeck, Melbourne Zoo, Cook’s Cottage, a Yarra River Cruise, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and National Sports Museum, and Old Melbourne Gaol. Still, one of Melbourne’s greatest charms is simply wandering its streets and laneways, sipping great coffee, admiring the street art, and popping into the many unique bars and boutiques. The city’s tram network is also free within the CBD, so take advantage of it in this very pedestrian-friendly city.

Fly to Sydney, the unabashed ‘glamour girl’ of Australia’s cities. Perhaps take a Sydney Opera House tour for an intimate look at the city’s most instantly recognizable building. A Rocks Walking Tour is also a great way to immerse yourself in Sydney’s colourful past. Zip to the top of Sydney Tower for an absolutely stunning view, or get one of the best harbor views from Taronga Zoo on the North Shore. Those are just the big ticket attractions. Like Melbourne, local life in Sydney is an attraction all by itself. That’s why this itinerary treats you to a luncheon cruise on Sydney Harbour, a 3-course BBQ lunch with regional wines, beers, and 5-star service. Swim, sunbathe, fish, and generally enjoy the day like a member of Sydney’s well-to-do before returning home.
