8 Days
Prices From:
US$ 1,795

FIRST-CLASS | TAILOR-MADE: Visit the three of the most popular spots in New Zealand, particularly for first time visitors. Start in Auckland, the harbourside "City of Sails, immerse yourself in the Maori culture of Rotorua, and experience the beautiful alpine town of Queenstown, with a day trip to the incredible Fiordlands.

Explore the best of New Zealand on this quick 8-day trip from Auckland to Queenstown, with shared transfers and touring. Take in the best of the North and South Islands, and whet your appetite for that return visit.

Touch down in Auckland for two nights in one of the world’s most liveable cities. Few places on earth enjoy Auckland’s perfect indoor/outdoor balance, with rainforests, beautiful lookouts, diverse islands (some with their own wineries) and a thriving culture all at your fingertips. Enjoy a city tour in the morning of your first full day, followed by an afternoon wilderness tour. Visit Waitomo Caves to see their famous glow worms, and stop in at Hobbiton on your way to Rotorua.

The bubbling mud pools and spouting geysers of Rotorua are one of New Zealand’s most iconic images. But this is also a great city for experiencing Maori culture, which is alive and well at the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. You’ll also visit the Tamaki Maori Village, enjoying a traditional welcome (you’ll be briefed on the protocol) and buffet-style Hangi feast. Another highlight of your day in Rotorua is a visit to the Agrodome, to see its famous sheep show and gain an insight into this important piece of modern-day New Zealand.

Fly on to Queenstown, the adrenaline capital of the country, if not the world. This is where bungee jumping was invented, and you can certainly indulge, in addition to ziplining, careening through the canyons of the Shotover River on a jet boat, or simply enjoy one of the most beautiful locations of any city on earth during your day at leisure. Included is a Queenstown must-do, a visit to Milford Sound in the Fiordland. This is an all-day trip with lots to see en route, ultimately taking you for a cruise on what is arguably the most impressive natural sight in New Zealand.
