This morning enjoy a scenic four hour drive to Milford Sound. There is plenty of time to stop and stretch our legs and to snap some stunning photos along the way. The highlights are stopping at Lake Te Anau, awe inspiring Eglinton Valley and the Mirror Lakes before arriving at Milford Sound where the iconic Mitre Peak awaits you. Milford Sound is one of the most popular attractions in New Zealand, dubbed the 8th wonder of the world by Rudyard Kipling, and you'll soon see why.
Board one of the smaller boats in the Sounds and you will be able to spend 1 hour 45 minutes exploring on the water and enjoying your picnic lunch. The boat cruise takes you out towards the end of the Milford Sound and close to several waterfalls in search of dolphins and NZ fur seals and the Yellow Crested Penguin that are often seen in this area. At the end of the cruise, journey back to Queenstown stopping along the way for sightseeing and photographs, returning back to Queenstown around 6.45pm.
