Southern Ramble to Christchurch

Duration
4 Days
Prices From:
US$ 619

Discover Pancake Rocks, one of the South Island’s most iconic sights. Visit the Seal Colony in Abel Tasman National Park then board the TranzAlpine, an incredibly scenic rail journey.

Nelson is the South Island’s oldest settled city and is famous for its arts and crafts. Nearby Abel Tasman National Park is closed off to vehicles. Instead, you’ll cruise to Onetahuti via the Seal Colony then enjoy a walk through one of the most picturesque sections of the park on your included tour.

Head for the West Coast to see Punakaiki’s Pancake Rocks, distinctive geological formations formed over tens of thousands of years of pummeling from the Tasman Sea. Finally, enjoy the spectacular Southern Alps from the comfort of the TranzAlpine Express on your way to Christchurch.
