The cruise takes in the site of the historic Whalers' Base in Paterson Inlet prior to visiting Ulva Island which is an internationally acclaimed open sanctuary. Many rare and endangered native species of birdlife and plants flourish in a predator-free protected environment. During the easy guided walk you will see and hear a wide range of native birds. Though now rare on the mainland, the inquisitive flightless weka thrives on Ulva Island, and is usually encountered. The tracks are well-formed and suitable for most ages and fitness levels. This guided walk through the native podocarp forest is comprehensive and informative and small group sizes make it highly personalised.

Te Anau to Milford to Queenstown incl Buffet Lunch
Join the coach at Te Anau and travel through the Fiordland National Park, a region rich with dense rainforest, lakes and waterfalls cascading from rugged mountain peaks. Pass through the Eglinton Valley to see ancient beech forest, stunning waterfalls and the famous Mirror Lakes, where the coach pauses for photo opportunities. From here, the tour progresses through the Upper Hollyford Valley and past the stunning Christie Falls. As you exit the 1.2km long Homer Tunnel (drilled through the solid rock of a mountain) prepare yourself for the breath-taking impact of the Cleddau Valley and the descent into Milford Sound where you’ll board a spectacular Milford Sound luxury catamaran Cruise. After your cruise, reboard your coach for your return journey to Queenstown.
