Great White Shark Cage Dive Adventure

Duration
3 Days
Prices From:
US$ 802

A wonderful and exciting opportunity to be safely up close and personal with the Great White Shark either in a cage or in an underwater viewing sub. It is guaranteed you will not be a victim of the movie, Jaws!

Your “Swim with Great White Sharks” starts with accommodation for 2 nights at Port Lincoln on the Eyre Peninsula located in South Australia. The Eyre Peninsula is an important ground for great white sharks and also for whales and sea lions (the scariest scenes of Jaws were shot here).

A unique opportunity to experience the legendary Great White Shark in their natural habitat. Start with a cruise through the Thorny Passage with possible sightings of dolphins and local sea birds. Then head to the Neptune Islands, home of the Great White Shark. Here you can opt to jump into a cage and swim with them or you can enter an Underwater Viewing Sub. In either case, you will only be less than 1.25 metres/4 feet below the surface and can come up anytime.

At Goway we are experts at designing personalized itineraries to suit your special interests, tastes and budget. Let us arrange your ultimate travel experience today.

Day 2

Swim with Great Whites

Experience a chance to see the legendary Great White Shark in its natural habitat. Join us for a day tour, which will take approximately 10-12 hours depending on sightings and conditions. Your tour starts at the Adventure Bay Departure Lounge located at 2 South Quay Boulevard from 6am onwards. You will be greeted by office staff who will guide you through pre-departure checks, and offer you a light breakfast before boarding at approximately 6:45am.

We cruise through the Thorny Passage where you can expect to see sightings of dolphins and local sea birds. It takes approximately 2.5 hours of cruising before we reach the Neptune Islands, home of the Great White Shark.

When the Great White Sharks arrive, for just $125 you can opt to jump in the cage and actually swim with these endangered species or if that is not your thing, go dry in our world first Aqua Sub underwater viewer. This additional fee includes; 7mm Wetsuit, booties, hood, gloves, mask, Hookah Dive Set-Up, Cage & Aqua Sub access (this fee is paid on the day and only after a successful shark sighting). All dives are surface dives using "hookah" (surface air supply) meaning no cumbersome air tanks! You will only be 2-4 feet below the surface at all times and free to surface at any time. There is no Scuba Diving experience required. We will provide you with training on the day!

During the day see the action from the vessel - take pictures, enjoy lunch and relax on the water. Once everyone has had a chance to get into the cage we will return to the Port Lincoln Marina. Please note: You may not return until 7 or 8pm that evening, however, we do return earlier if possible. Dinner is not included in the tour.

Nervous about jumping in the cage? No Worries, we recommend that you bring the essentials for cage diving such as: swimsuit and towel. Then if you can't resist jumping in the cage, you are already prepared. Just pay the $125 underwater access fee on the day. There are cash and card facilities on board.
