Sydney Discovery Tour: For 18-39 year olds

Duration
5 Days
Prices From:
US$ 653

Step outside the city and explore more of the Sydney region, heading up to Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley, then out to the Blue Mountains for more adventures in the beautiful hinterland.

There’s more to Sydney than the city itself. Discover the surrounding region on this 5-day trip that combines beach, wine country, and mountains before returning you to Sydney.

Your trip begins with a short tour of Sydney’s harbourside sights. Visit Kirribilli, the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, then head to Manly, one of the city’s most famous beach suburbs. Then it’s time to head up the coast to Port Stephens, where the local Aboriginal people await with a traditional ‘welcome to country’ and smoking ceremony.

Port Stephens is an active coastal town offering plenty of activities that make the most of its spectacular setting. Embark on a dolphin cruise with a swim and boom net ride, enjoy the sandy thrills of dune quad-biking or sand boarding, or just explore the many trails for spectacular views. Then drive inland to the Hunter Valley, New South Wales’ biggest wine producing region. Learn about the winemaking process and taste some of the local flavours, overnighting before your onward journey to the Blue Mountains.

Rising to the west of Sydney, the Blue Mountains is one of Australia’s most accessible and picturesque regions. See the major sights including Wentworth Falls, Katoomba Falls, Narrow Neck lookout, and the towering Three Sisters, spending the night in Katoomba, one of Australia’s most picturesque mountain towns. Explore some more on your last scheduled day, perhaps try your hand at abseiling, or take a tour of the area on a Harley Davidson. You can also visit Scenic World, a small collection of attractions designed to showcase the natural beauty of the surrounding cliffs and bush. You can also explore on foot along one of the many trails before returning to Sydney.
