Spend a morning touring the historic Rocks district for an insight into Sydney’s fascinating convict past. An afternoon tour takes you to Sydney Opera House, the Botanic Gardens and several of the city’s famous beaches, including Bondi. Make an early start for the Blue Mountains and Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you can see emus, wombats, kangaroos and other native animals. Stay overnight in this spectacular region before going on to the Hunter Valley, home to some of Australia’s most famous wineries and many boutique gems, several of which you’ll visit for a tasting. Consider an extra day or two on your return to Sydney to visit bohemian Newtown, or take a harbour cruise to explore the city’s historic shores.

Day 2

The Rocks Walking Tour

Historic Sydney Walking Tour brings alive the story of the early convict settlement, while entertaining visitors with stories of "Rascals, Rats, and Restoration". The tours are conducted by friendly and enthusiastic guides who, by relating the many tales of Australia's colourful past, capture and hold the visitor's imagination.

Let your guide show you some of Sydney's earliest buildings, shops, old and new, homes of the "well-to-do" and the quaint cottages of the working class. Still to be seen are the pubs and hotels, once frequented by the locals and sailors alike, and the haunts of larrikins and rogues. The many historic streets, narrow alleyways, cobbled lanes, sandstone steps, and beautiful churches combine to weave a rich tapestry of life in the past and present times.

Morning Sydney City Tour with Opera House

Sydney - set on the beautiful blue Sydney Harbour, this fast paced city of cosmopolitan character is one of the world's most beautiful places. Colonial history, stunning architecture, superb waterways, gracious harbourside suburbs and friendly people epitomise the vibrancy of this spectacular city. Some highlights of your morning tour include a guided historic 'Sydney Rock' walking tour and a guided tour of Australia's most famous building - the Sydney Opera House. You'll also see Darling Harbour, Bondi Beach, affluent waterside suburbs, trendy hotspots and much more.

Day 3

Sydney to Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains National Park is one of seven national parks that make up the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. This wonderland of sandstone outcrops, deep ravines and hazy blue eucalypt forests boasts luxury retreats and stunning views. This morning your guide will take you off the beaten track to visit remote lookout locations and discuss the history, flora and fauna of this magnificent region.

Around 7.00- 7.30AM, Depart from the hotel with our Goway Representative. Departing from the city, you will travel directly to the Blue Mountains and your first stop of the day is at Euroka Clearing located deep in the National Park. Here, there is abundant birdlife to be found and it's also home to wild kangaroos. You will have time to wander at leisure to see if you can spot any of these beautiful native animals. Your guide will prepare a refreshing morning tea or coffee for you with some local delicacies.

From Euroka Clearing, you will continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. You will visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas. Where possible this will be away from the crowds of tours that visit the mountains each day with other operators, thus you will enjoy a stress and hurry free environment taking in the views and information imparted by their guide.

Continuing on, you will arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous 3 Sisters. Whilst the Blue Mountains features so much more than this natural attraction you can't help but admire the unquestionable beauty of this amazing rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colours. Here your guide will discuss the legends behind this famous rock formation and time available for you to take some great photos.

From here, you are taken to your accommodation to check in. The remainder of the day at is free at leisure to relax and explore. Lunch is own cost today.

Day 4

Blue Mountain to Hunter Valley

In the morning, you will be picked up at 8:30am and travel around the mountains, stopping at Govetts Leap for spectacular Escarpment views. You will then continue on to the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens where you will have a short walk through the gardens enjoying expansive views followed by morning tea/coffee refreshments. From here, you will make your way through to Bilpin and then into the Wollemi National Park to Putty and on to the Hunter Valley. On arrival, you enjoy a delightful lunch with glass of wine at a Vineyard Cafe followed by a visit to a boutique winery for tastings. You will then be dropped off to your accommodation to enjoy the remainder of afternoon and evening relaxing at leisure.

Day 5

Hunter Valley to Sydney

Approximately 11.15am - 11.30am you are collected from your accommodation to re-join the wine tour and continue onto Leogate Estate. This opulent cellar door is the perfect place to enjoy that unique taste which only the Hunter Valley and their award winning wines can provide. All wines produced from the great vines of one of the most highly regarded vineyards in Australia. Here, you will enjoy a selection of cheeses to accompany the wine tasting, followed by a tour of the onsite winery to learn of the wine making process.

On conclusion of the tour, you will enjoy a relaxing 2 course lunch (selection of platters, followed by dessert of choice) accompanied by a glass of wine. Further beverages can be purchased at own expense.

After lunch, you will enjoy a stop at the Hunter Village where here you have the options of visiting the Chocolate Shop for sampling and perhaps a decadent purchase or two!... explore the boutique shops or enjoy a final wine tasting at the local Cellar Door. From here, you will returning to Sydney to arrive back at your hotels approximately 5 - 5.30pm.
