Day 1

Depart North America

Connecting from your hometown to Los Angeles, board your Air Tahiti Nui flight to Papeete, the international airport of French Polynesia. 

Day 2

Arrive Papeete & Transfer to Huahine

On arrival in Tahiti, transfer to the domestic terminal to join your 40 minute flight to Huahine.  On arrival you will be transferred to your guesthouse where the rest of your day is free to explore.

Days 3 - 5

At leisure in Huahine

Huahine casts a spell over you from the moment you arrive with its beautiful white sand beaches, lush forests, untamed landscape and quaint villages. Known as one of Tahiti’s best-kept secrets there is plenty to do.  Explore the underwater world (reef walls, fishy caves and coral gardens) or explore one of the archaeological sites.  Water and land activities are abundant around the island, enjoy are a sunset cruise, deep-sea fishing, surfing, hiking, trekking or even kiteboarding during your time on this magnificent island.

Day 6

Half Day Sacred Sites and Legendary Places

Set off on an educational exploration of the island of Huahine in a small group (maximum 8 people). Learn all about Polynesian anthropology, archaeology, history, traditions and more on this fascinating excursion. A knowledgeable American anthropologist who has lived in Huahine for many years will be your guide. Your day begins with a visit to the village of Maeva, where all district chiefs once lived and worshiped their ancestors at their marae. Marae are places for religious ceremonies. There are 200 archaeological stone structures here which have survived for centuries. Next head to a vanilla plantation to learn how this plant is cultivated to become a flavourful island treasure. In the village you will also see fishermen using old stone traps. Pass by a watermelon plantation - Huahine is known for having the best. There will be a stop on a beach before visiting Marae Manunu where the tomb of Raiti the last great priest of Maeva is located. Huahine is also the home of the sacred blue-eyed eels, a unique site to see! The last stop is to the Mahuti view point which overlooks the magnificent lagoon of Huahine.

Day 7

At leisure in Huahine

Today is completely at leisure, get off your resort and explore Huahine further or take the day to relax and enjoy the beautiful lagoon.

Day 8

3 in 1 Lagoon Tour

The tour begins with a visit to a pearl farm where your guide will explain how these beautiful pearls are formed. The boat will then sail off to a coral garden in Huahine's magnificent turquoise lagoon followed by a buffet lunch on a motu. The last visit of the day is to the natural aquarium where your guide will feed the reef fish and sharks so that you get a better look at them in the water or from a specially made platform.

Day 9

Depart for Papeete and Los Angeles

Transfer back to Huahine airport for the short flight back to Papeete, where you will connect to the international flight to Los Angeles aboard Air Tahiti Nui.

Day 10

Arrive North America

Arrive back into Los Angeles and connect to your home town.
