During the 1960 filming of Mutiny on the Bounty, Marlin Brando fell in love with Tetiaroa. He purchased it in 1966-67. Today, The Brando Resort is dedicated to preserving everything that charmed the star in the first place.
All the great Tahiti clichés are present and accounted for, from brilliant azure lagoons to lush forests on shore, all sweetened by the gentle breezes and unhurried culture of the South Pacific. Yet The Brando remains committed to preserving these elements through cutting-dge, eco-friendly innovations. Air conditioning throughout the resort is powered by the natural chill of deep ocean salt water. Solar power is collected via panels along the resort’s airstrip, while any additional power needs are met by a coconut oil (biofuel) power station. In fact, The Brando is one of the world’s few resorts where you can enjoy an entirely carbon-neutral stay.

Arrive at The Brando
On arrival in Papeete International Airport in Tahiti, you will be met and transferred to the Brando’s private plane for a scenic 20 minute ride to the island of Tetiaroa. Upon arrival transfer to your room and the rest of the day is free to relax.

At Leisure in Paradise
There is so much to do on this island, or of course you can relax on the beaches and swim in the clear waters. Go deep sea fishing, whale watching, visit the spa, go on an guided excursion with a naturalist, explore the lagoon by kayak, or take a scuba lessons in the lagoon. One spa treatment and one excursions per day are included with your stay.
