Value Tasmania (6 Days): Value Plus Escorted Vacation
- Duration
- 6 Days
- Prices From:
- US$ 2,045
Spend six days in Tasmania first visiting the city of Launceston then journey to Freycinet National Park. Stop in historic Port Arthur and Salamanca Place before concluding in Hobart.
Tasmania offers you a completely unique Australian experience, with its own rich history and a distinct ecosystem. Choose between a 6 day or 10 day itinerary, and discover the Apple Isle on this value coach tour.
Launceston is the largest city in Northern Tasmania and is central to many key attractions. You’ll visit Seahorse World at Beauty Point, as well as Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre to learn more about the city’s mining history. Continue on to Freycinet National Park, home to picturesque Wineglass Bay. Along the way, you’ll stop at East Coast Natureworld, for an up close and personal encounter with the cute, but not-so-cuddly Tasmanian devil.
Tasmania’s east coast is a treasure trove of history, with charming villages such as Ross, Richmond, and Port Arthur. Here, you’ll explore the Port Arthur Historic Site, Tasmania’s largest and best preserved settlement from the convict era. Cruise around the Isle of the Dead, the final resting place for some 2,000 souls who did not survive the colony’s harsh conditions.
The capital city of Hobart is home to a rising cultural scene, including the Museum of Old and New Art. Enjoy a tour of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, before enjoying the city at leisure. Perhaps take a free tour of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, or visit Cascade brewery. Our 6 day guests depart in Hobart.
Pass natural wonders like Lake St Clair and Russell Falls on your way to Strahan and the rugged west coast. Cruise on Macquarie Harbour to SarahIsland, site of Tasmania’s most infamous former penal colony. Immerse yourself in the Tasmanian wilderness and see some of the world’s oldest rainforest as your tour takes you to CradleMountain.
Stop in at Stanley, a charming fishing village in the shadow of The Nut, a 143 metre, flat-topped volcanic plug. Taste some Tasmanian treats at Ashgrove Cheese Factory, before returning to Launceston, where you’ll visit Cataract Gorge and take a cruise along the Tamar River.
