Sydney Outback's flagship product, the Wilderness and Aboriginal Explorer, offers nature, Aboriginal and aquatic based tours to the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park National Park, located just 45 minutes north of central Sydney, and one of Australia's most picturesque and diverse landscapes.
Our first stop is the world-class lookout at West Head where you can take in incredible views of the Tasman Sea, Pittwater and the historic sandstone lighthouse on Barrenjoey Headland, Broken Bay, and more.
Our second stop of the day is one of Sydney's most significant Aboriginal rock art sites with 15 images etched into the ground depicting the story of the creation of the earth. The Park is home to the world's most concentrated area of Indigenous sites with over 1,500 sites, and this one of the most impressive of the collection.
Our third stop is Akuna Bay marina where we begin a 2.5 hour scenic cruise through pristine National Park waterways and admiring the Aussie bush landscape. During the cruise, you will enjoy interpretation at several ancient Aboriginal sites that are only accessible by water.
Key is the daily commentary comprising 100+ topics focusing on the 7 key reasons that people visit Australia: Nature, Aboriginal, Aquatic, Off-the-beatentrack, Accessibility, Education, and a Scenic cruise. Included is a 30 minute cultural presentation explaining the history of Australia and also a 20 minute Aboriginal artefacts presentation.
