The Amazon River supports perhaps the world’s widest variety of natural life. A nocturnal canoe tour lets you hear the sounds of the living jungle after dark. The following day, a jungle trek takes you to see its astonishing plant life. Take a motor canoe to the surrounding lakes after lunch, and keep an eye out for grinning caimans caught in torchlight after dark. You’ll even have a chance to fish the waters (yes, you can catch piranha!) before visiting the spectacular ‘Meeting of the Waters’ where the River Negro and Solimoes meet. Disembark in Manaus.
