This 4 to 8-day Galapagos Cruise takes you across the incredible Galapagos Islands aboard the newest yacht in the region, the M/V Natural Paradise.

With multiple itineraries stretching from 4 to 8 days, your Ecuador vacation allows you to choose how to explore the Galapagos Islands, the most biologically-diverse set of islands on the planet. The Galapagos have long fascinated nature lovers and scientists alike; in the past, they helped Charles Darwin formulate his groundbreaking theories, while today, they remain one of the most incredible eco-tourism locations in the world. You'll cruise the Galapagos Islands aboard the M/V Natural Paradise, a comfortable yacht that's the newest in the Galapagos. The vessel accommodates a maximum of 16 passengers, ensuring you experience the islands in a private group with personalized attention from the crew. When you're not heading on island excursions, you can take advantage of the Jacuzzi on the teak sundeck, enjoy gourmet meals in the al fresco dining area, or savour a drink in the main lounge.

Aboard the M/V Natural Paradise, you'll explore these incredible islands. Visit the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center at Charles Darwin Station to see the giant tortoises that fascinated the biologist over a hundred years ago. Climb the Prince Phillip Steps on Genovesa Island to enjoy stunning views of Darwin Bay and spot the red-footed boobies, herons, and whimbrels that call the bay home. On North Seymour Island, traverse a dried lava landscape to see over 2,500 land iguanas as well as the biggest colony of Magnificent Frigate birds in the islands. On Fernandina Island, spot lava flows and new volcanic cones at Darwin Volcano, one of the few active volcanoes in the region. Later, stroll along Dragon Hill on Santa Cruz Island to see flamingos, pintail ducks, and countless other exotic birds as well as enjoy spectacular views of the water. During your free time, take advantage of the yacht's on-board equipment to snorkel through the waters and witness the world beneath the waves.

An 8-day itinerary combines all of these island excursions into one unforgettable adventure. An alternative 8-day itinerary takes you to other popular spots like the Sierra Negra Volcano, which has one of the three largest volcanic craters in the world, as well as Floreana Island, where you can stroll along Green Beach, which glows a bright green due to the olivine crystals in the sand.

No matter which itinerary you choose, you'll experience one of the world's greatest natural environments.

Day 2

Galapagos

This morning you will visit North Seymour island. The island was named after English nobleman Lord Hugh Seymour. Formed by uplifted submarine lava, the island is home to a huge colony of about 2,500 land iguanas and large populations of sea lions, blue-footed boobies, common noddies and frigate birds. Along the coast it is possible to see land and marine iguanas and the biggest colony of Magnificent Frigate birds.

During the afternoon you will visit South Plazas, located at the east of Santa Cruz Island, and forms part of two islands known as Islas Plazas. Despite its small size, some of the most interesting and outstanding species of the Galapagos are found here. The Plazas land iguanas are smaller than its relatives found on other islands. Throughout the island there are several hybrid iguanas, a result of crossing a male marine iguana and a female land iguana, they are unique, recognizable at first glance by their black-gray color, with a land iguana's crest, but face and tail of the marine iguana. The big population of iguanas is due to the presence of tunas, their favorite food. Swallow Tailed Gulls nesting in the rugged cliffs are seen along with other sea birds as: Audubon shearwaters, red-billed tropicbirds, frigate birds and brown pelicans.

Day 3

Galapagos

This morning excursion takes you to Rabida. This Island is unique because of the red color of the rocks and sand. The volcanic material in this island is very porous and external factors as rain, salt water and sea breeze have acted as an oxidizing agent. A short walk along a trail lead us to a coastal lagoon behind the beach, which permits the observation of land birds, such as finches, doves, yellow warblers and mocking birds. At the lagoon there is a colony of flamingos. The beach is often full with sea lions, and there are good snorkeling opportunities.

This afternoon you will visit Bartolome. This Island is situated across Sullivan Bay. It has an altitude of 114 meters, from where we can observe one of the most beautiful sceneries of the Galapagos Islands such as: Volcanic cones, lunar-like craters, lava fields, and the famous Toba formed pinnacle eroded by the sea. There is very little vegetation on this island. It has two breathtaking beaches where marine turtles exist and at the base of the pinnacle, as well as a very small colony of Galapagos penguins.

Day 4

Galapagos

This morning you will be taken to Sullivan Bay in Santiago Island. Also called James, or San Salvador Island, is located in the west central part of the Galapagos archipelago. It is the fourth largest island in the archipelago (following Isabela, Fernandina and Santa Cruz). Along with some of the large western volcanoes of Isabela and Fernandina, Santiago is also volcanically active, with many young flows and cones to be seen, particularly along the south, west, and east coasts. These may even be seen from the summit of Darwin Volcano and from space. A number of historic eruptions have been reported over the last 2 centuries. Santiago actually consists of two coalesced volcanoes: a typical shield volcano on the northwest end and a low, linear fissure volcano at the southeast end.

During the afternoon, visit Dragon hill, Santa Cruz Island. The visitor site at Dragon Hill has been open for visits since 1993. This site is located in northwestern Santa Cruz Island and consists of a trail that lead to a hyper-saline lagoon behind the beach, frequented by flamingos, pintail ducks and other species of birds. This site has been re populated with land iguanas from Seymour, Isabela and Santa Cruz islands. There is a short walk to the Hill, which offers a beautiful view of the bay.

Day 5

Depart Galapagos

This morning you will visit the Highlands of Santa Cruz, a very interesting site due to the rich wildlife, hills, ferns, volcanoes and lava tubes present. Exploring the lava tubes is a surreal and unique experience. Here you can see all the different agricultural zones that are present in the Galapagos in one place. The variety of birds makes this a bird watchers delight.

You will continue to visit the Twin Craters or Gemelos, meaning twins in Spanish, are two caved in magma chambers of a previous volcano. After years of erosion and extinction, the once full chambers caved in leaving two similar craters that can be seen on a short hike that passes by a Scalesia forest.

Then you will be transferred to your scheduled departure from Baltra Airport to mainland Ecuador.
