Galapagos Hotel Stopover
- Duration
- 4 Days
- Prices From:
- US$ 561
Enjoy some downtime before or after a Galapagos cruise on this stopover in Puerto Ayora. Staying in your choice of hotel, you’ll have a few days to explore the sleepy Galapagos capital and enjoy the highlights of Santa Cruz Island, including its sunny beaches and volcanic highlands.
This 4-day Galapagos add-on is a perfect supplement to a Galapagos cruise. It features moderate or first-class accommodations depending on preference, environmentally sustainable options, independent touring, and is the ultimate pre- or post-cruise add-on.
After starting or finishing your Galapagos cruise with Goway, connect to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz and your accommodation on the island. Puerto Ayora is the sleepy capital of the Galapagos, a port town that accommodates the locals that have lived on the islands and the tourists passing through. You’ll have two days at leisure to enjoy the town and explore nearby highlights. Stop by the fisherman’s market to see sea lions waiting patiently for scraps or lounge on German Beach or Tortuga Bay to get some sun. Explore the volcanic highlands and spot Giant Tortoises grazing on the island’s grasses or venture into a lava tunnel. You’ll find many restaurants and bars to while away the hours in as well.
At the end of your stay, connect back to Baltra to join your cruise or return home.

Galapagos Magic is a million miles from the world's hustle and bustle. Located on Santa Cruz Island (Holy Cross), home to the Galapagos' largest human settlement, the Island's approximately 12,000 residents mainly live in Puerto Ayora, named after Ecuadorian president Isidro Ayora. Magic is a world apart from Puerto Ayora, with only birdsong and breezes to greet guests.
The highlands on Santa Cruz have a lot to offer. Huge rock tunnels formed by the volcanic activity that made the islands are famous, On the surface are farms where you can see giant tortoises in their natural habitat. This is where 'Lonesome George', the most famous tortoise in the world, lived until his recent death.
Giant tortoises call Magic Galapagos their home much of the year, and guests might see a handful slowly moving through the grounds or many dozens dotting the meadow.Facilities

The Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel, a proud member of National Geographic Unique Lodges of the WorldTM, is your Galapagos exploration headquarters, a beachfront base from which to discover the wildlife of the islands aboard our private yacht, and create your own adventures on land and on sea. The perfect complement to a Galapagos cruise, or a destination on its own, a stay at the Finch Bay allows you to feel the islands' essence.
The Galapagos Islands rank among the world's most extraordinary wildlife destinations. Although every inch of our world has something that makes it "unique," the islands are that much more sui generis than other places due to the archipelago's isolation over millennia, which have allowed species to evolve amid the stark volcanic landscapes into new and apparently strange life forms that exist nowhere else on the planet. And on top of that, the creatures one encounters are virtually fearless of humans. It's a truly magical place.
The award-winning Finch Bay Eco Hotel lies just steps from the beach in a secluded location, across the bay from Puerto Ayora on the island of Santa Cruz.Facilities
