Travel alongside the Mendoza river, where you'll have the perfect opportunity to view Mendoza's mountains, the Cordón del Plata. Along this route pass the colossal Dyke Potrerillos, a hydraulic power plant that distributes water to the Mendoza wine districts and vineyard irrigation systems. The Andes high mountain tour circuit will continue on the Paso Internacional Los Libertadores to Uspallata, a pre-Hispanic aboriginal settlement and the southernmost point of the Inca Empire in Argentina. At Uspallata you will be able to discover some of Mendoza's top attractions such as archaeological remains, the Vaults of Uspallata and historic adobe buildings. Then visit the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas and Los Penitentes ski resort where, you will be able to take advantage of the ski-chair lift (optional, not included) to reach the stunning panoramic views of the Andes mountain range. Next, visit the unique natural feature of the Puente del Inca ('the Incas' Bridge'), an arch formed by the nearby hot water springs.
You then end with a visit to the viewpoint of the impressive and characteristic Aconcagua Hill.
