You’ll be at leisure to explore the forest your way, but options to help you get the most out of your adventure include a nature trail and twilight river excursion, nature presentations at the eco centre and a visit to Inkaterra Butterfly House. Excursions are available to Lake Sandoval, Gamitana Creek and Hacienda Concepcion. You can take a walk through the forest canopy or even an anaconda walk if you’re feeling brave!

Day 1

Puerto Maldonado to Inkaterra Reserve

On your arrival into Puerto Maldonado you will be met and transferred by motorised canoe up river to your lodge in the jungle.

Travelling to Tambopata National Reserve offers a rare opportunity to discover a lively biodiversity of birds, mammals, reptiles, insects and trees. Record-setting numbers of animal species are concentrated within small areas, and the variety of plant life is greater than almost anywhere in the world.

Today is spent exploring the jungle by foot or boat and the river system at night searching for caymans. With the help of your guide you will have the opportunity of selecting from a number of exciting options as listed below:

- Excursion to Lake Sandoval
