Pikaia Lodge Galapagos

Duration
4-8 Days
Prices From:
US$ 10,310

A Galapagos trip is one of the world’s great vacations, and Pikaia Lodge offers 4, 5, or 8 day programs to suit a variety of timeframes, interests, and budgets. The Lodge also boasts its own vessel for exploring the islands in detail.

These Galapagos trips are available to suit a range of timeframes and budgets, basing you at luxurious, yet eco-friendly Pikaia Lodge. Itineraries are carefully designed to maximise your enjoyment of the wildlife, while minimising your impact on the environment and natural behaviour of the animals. The exact program may change according to the climate, tides, and seasons, to ensure guests have the best experience possible. Check the length of itinerary that interests you for specific details, but included islands are typically as follows, subject to trip length.

Santa Cruz Island is particularly known for its Giant Tortoises that have become synonymous with the Galapagos. You’ll also find some spectacular lava tunnels and volcanic craters. Its other big claim to fame is the Charles Darwin Scientific Research Center, which does valuable work in increasing our understanding of this unique ecosystem.

Bartoleme Island is a wildlife treasure trove that is home to Galapagos Penguins, sharks, rays, sea lions, Green Sea Turtles, Galapagos Hawks, herons and many others. Plus, you can take in a bird’s eye view from the summit, with views of Santiago Island behind. A nearby highlight is Sullivan Bay, which supports some fascinating plant life in addition to some unique lava flow formations.

Neighbouring North Seymour and Mosquera Islands are often paired together, and despite their small size, support some of the healthiest bird and sea life populations in the Galapagos. See Hammerhead Sharks, marine turtles, iguanas, and sea lions. And of course, you’ll inevitably come face to face with the famous Blue-footed Boobies of the Galapagos.

If you’re visiting South Plaza and Santa Fe Islands, keep an eye out for Red-billed Tropicbirds, and Galapagos Snakes, which join the familiar cast of boobies, seals and sea lions, iguanas, and others. Santa Fe is also known for its Prickly Pear forest, and the charming Cactus finch.

A special treat awaits if your itinerary includes Bachas Beach. Wild Flamingos bring a splash of pink to an already colourful island known otherwise for its Lava Gulls, Sea Turtles, white sand beaches, and small sharks that swim close to the shore’s edge.

Check your preferred trip length for a specific itinerary. Since many of the Islands share a variety of wildlife, guests can be assured of an unforgettable trip, no matter which they choose.
