This morning tour is better suited for those that don't favor an early rise but still want the experience of paddling on Lake Titicaca. Starting from the Libertador Dock at 930AM there will be a briefing on how to row in the outrigger canoe. Outrigger style canoes have been chosen for their amazing stability and ease of maneuverability.
Soon after, you will start your journey to the Uros Islands. En route, you will experience an unforgettable sunrise, as the sun comes up over Lake Titicaca, the ancestral birth place of the Incan Empire. Wildlife is also stirring at this time so be on the lookout for several kinds of ducks, herons, hawks and others.
The trip will take no more than an hour to reach the Uros community. Once there you will be able to use the bathroom as well as buy some beverages as well as interacting with the local people. They will offer a explanation of how the islands where made, share some of their culture and customs and happily pose for some memorable photos. You return to the mainland arriving around 1:00PM.
