Start off in Cusco or train in Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley to board the luxury Vistadome heading to Machu Picchu. You travel through spectacular scenery with a wealth of opportunities to take amazing pictures.  This journey will be an exceptional experience. On arrival in Machu Picchu, you will transfer to your hotel for a 2 night stay at the 5 star Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel in Aguas Calientes.

The next day brings a guided tour to the Machu Picchu site reached via a short bus ride.  Machu Picchu is situated on a mountain ridge above the Sacred Valley. Most archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for an Incan Emperor around 1450 but abandoned a Century later at the time of the Spanish Conquest. It is the most familiar icon of the Inca civilization. Although known locally, it was not known to the Spanish during the Colonial period and remained unknown to the outside world before being brought to international attention in 1911 by the American historian, Hiram Bingham. After your tour, head back down to your hotel again by bus.

The following morning, you will have time to explore Machu Picchu on your own before returning to Cusco or Ollantaytambo.
