Urban Lima is designed to get you out, into and around the streets of Lima as well as the many restaurants, markets cafes as you absorb modern life in Peru’s capital. Be a “local - Limeño" for a few days.
Lima is one of those underrated cities that’s eclipsed by attractions elsewhere in the country. In reality, it’s the exciting heartbeat of modern Peru, as you’ll discover on this 4-day Lima city break.
Start at Lima’s most famous attraction, the Larco Museum. With an expert guide at your side, get the inside story on 3000 years of pre-colonial Peruvian history, with lunch in the museum’s much lauded restaurant. Sneak in an early Pisco Sour. We won’t judge! The following day, work off those extra calories with an urban bike tour, exploring the photogenic Miraflores area. Right in the middle of this testament to modern Peruvian money, you’ll find a pre-Incan archaeological site! Admire the architecture of San Isidro, before experiencing the ocean views and cliff-hugging bike tracks Miraflores is known for.
Lima was crowned the World’s Leading Culinary Destination at the World Travel Awards in 2012, and things have only grown since then. Peru makes the most of its coastline, and fish plays a key role in Peruvian cuisine. You haven’t had ceviche until you’ve had it in Peru, and a half day culinary experience will allow you to sample the real thing, along with other delicacies. You’ll even learn how to make a real Pisco Sour. Then dive into the taverns and bars of Lima to see the modern city at play on a guided nightlife tour.

Larco Herrera Museum with Dinner
Food and more importantly, good food is key to any travel experience. Peru was named World's Leading Culinary Destination at the World Travel Awards in 2012. When you combine this with a rich cultural history you have a perfect "fusion" for good food and unique dining.
The Larco Museum is one of Limas most famous attractions and a recommended site to visit when in Lima. Dine at the museum's world class restaurant and enjoy a Pisco Sour (typical South American cocktail), entree, main meal and desert before exploring the museum with your guide. The museum houses a remarkable chronological set of galleries tracing the 3000 years of Peruvian pre Colombian civilization.
