MODERATE | TAILOR-MADE: Experience the thrill of exceptional panoramic views from the peaks of some of Switzerland's tallest mountains. Enjoy stays in the beautiful cities of Lucerne and Interlaken; explore the part of the area using scenic train rides and aerial cable cars.
Switzerland is famous for its efficient and comfortable trains and cable cars. On this trip you will see some of the best views on earth whilst experiencing some of Switzerland’s best known trains and cable cars. You will stay in quality three star accommodations.
On arrival at any of Switzerland’s main airports, you will be transferred to Lucerne for a 2 night stay. Here you can choose an excursion to Mount Titlis reached by train to Engelberg and then by aerial cable car which allows a 360 degree panoramic view of the surrounding snow-capped mountains, glaciers, lakes and forests. Once at the top, you will be at a height of 3020 metres/9815 feet. Then take a gondola and aerial cable car to the summit of Mount Pilatus, 2130 metres/6930 feet in height, where you will have more panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.
Or you can choose to take an excursion to Mount Stanserhorn, 1900 metres/6175 feet in height, on an open air aerial cable car and enjoy wonderful views of 10 lakes and 100 kilometres of mountain range plus 3 countries. Return later to Lucerne.
From Lucerne, take the train to Interlaken for a 2 night stay. On arrival, the remainder of the day is free to enjoy Interlaken which lies between two lakes, Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.
The next day, take the Jungfrau Railway to the highest train station in Europe at 3454 metres/11,225 feet. You will have amazing views of three mountains, the Eiger, the Monch and the Jungfrau. You will also view the Aletsch Glacier which is 22 kilometres/14 miles in length. Return later to Interlaken.
