As we are experts in customizing itineraries to suit your personal interests, time available and budget, we at Goway are at your service!

This 5-day stopover takes you to the heart of one of Europe’s favourite coastal cities. Plus, you’ll go beyond the walls to discover nearby islands and Montenegro.

Only one hour from Dubrovnik, Montenegro might not leap out at you from the map, but its natural beauty will leave a strong imprint on your imagination. Explore the medieval coastal towns of Kotor and Budva, a city rebuilt in its original Venetian style. Your second day takes you to Korcula, a beautiful island where beaches surround olive groves, vineyards and villages. Many of the cathedrals and monasteries date back to medieval times, so you’ll have plenty of time to experience the charm of the local streets. Before returning to Dubrovnik, enjoy a tasting at a local winery. It might not be the most famous drop, but Croatian wine has a proud history dating back 2,500 years!

Spend your last full day at leisure exploring Dubrovnik proper. Follow the city wall, lose yourself in the old town, or spend a few hours exploring the rich restaurant and bar culture that has filled the ancient streets.

Day 2

Day Trip to Montenegro

Whilst in Dubrovnik why not take the opportunity to visit Montenegro! A small, picturesque country filled with natural beauties. A country in which you can spend the morning hiking in the mountain air and then the afternoon swimming in the clear blue Adriatic Sea, for although Montenegro is a small country it has it all. And it's not just the natural beauty that will leave you speechless, the history, the culture, the cuisine and the people will all fascinate you, and all this within an hours drive of Dubrovnik.

You will be picked up from your Dubrovnik hotel and driven to Kotor, with an amazing panoramic photo stop along the way. Montenegro, Kotor is a city steeped in tradition and history, with remarkable scenic views. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the old city was built between the 12th and 14th centuries and is filled with medieval architecture and historic monuments. Here you will stop and enjoy free time in the city to explore.

You then continue on to Budva, with a stop for the panoramic view of Sv. Stefan. The former fishing village situated on a peninsula became a hotel-town 50 years ago and that's how one wonderful place. You will then have time to enjoy Budva, and its numerous beaches.

What to wear: Casual wear, hat, and a swimsuit.
What to bring: Camera, sunblock, and a bottle of water.

Day 3

Day Trip to Korcula and Peljesac

This morning you will be picked up from your hotel to begin your day of touring. You will be driven to Ston, a small Medieval town with history that goes back to the 14th century. Back in the time of the Republic of Dubrovnik, a kilo of salt was worth the same as a kilo of gold, therefore whomever controlled the salt was rich. Unlike most city walls, these were not built surrounding a town, but instead up over the hills to protect the salt pans.

You then continue on to Orebic, and catch a boat ride across the channel to Korcula, a historic fortified town. The old city is surrounded by walls, and the streets are arranged in a herringbone pattern allowing free circulation of air but protecting against strong winds. The town's historic sites include the central Gothic and Renaissance Cathedral of St Mark, the Town Hall and the massive city fortifications. The 15th-century Franciscan monastery with a beautiful cloister is situated on the islet of Badija, near Korcula Town. Here you have time at leisure to wander the streets of the Old Town and soak up the history.

You will then be taken on a boat ride back to mainland, and driven to a local winery. Croatian wine has a history dating back to the Ancient Greek settlers, and their wine production on the southern Dalmatian islands of Vis, Hvar and Korcula some 2,500 years ago. Here you will enjoy a presentation and wine tasting.
