This trip through the lakes of Northern Italy unlocks a beautiful corner of Europe characterised by Alpine tranquility, before returning each night to the sophistication and culture of Milan.

Utilizing local airlines and transportation, this trip is a recommended and proven itinerary. Spend 5 days exploring Milan and the delightful surrounding towns and lakes.
Depart on a 1.5 hour walking tour of Milan. You will wander past the Teatro alla Scala and through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade and your guide will give you various glimpses into Milan's history. You will also enjoy a tour of Duomo, one of the world's largest and most striking Gothic Cathedrals. Continue on a panoramic tour of Arco della Pace, Cadorna, Churches of Santa Maria delle Grazie and Sant'Ambrogio, Corso Venezia, Piazza San Babila and Piazza Fontana. The bus will trasfer you to Santa Maria delle Grazie Basillica, which is a wonderful site to walk through and is also home to Da Vinci's painting 'The Last Supper'.
Visit Lake Como, where the elegance and sophistication of nearby Milan spills over to infuse what is for many, the most spectacular of the Lake District’s towns. Sate your shopping appetite away from the big city, then relax on a two hour Lake Como cruise. You’ll dock in Bellagio, one of the Lake’s most famous towns, with time to explore the narrow streets or relax with an espresso or gelato. A guided walking tour of Como completes your day.
Your last full day is a treat for Shakespeare lovers, exploring beautiful Verona, with a guided walking tour including Juliet’s balcony and the Roman Arena. After lunch, go on to Sirmione, a famously romantic town on the shores of Lake Garda. Visit the Rocca Scaligera and the Roman Villa before returning to Milan.

Lake Como and Bellagio
Discover Lake Como in Italy's beautiful Lake District, just a short distance from Milan. Nestled between the huge snowcapped Alps that rise up from its shores, is fashionable lakeside town Como. After spending time shopping and dining, you will take a two-hour panoramic cruise on Lake Como to the enchanting village of Bellagio.
After your 1-hour coach journey from Milan, start your tour of Como visiting historic center and enjoy some free time to get to know the town and shop in the many local boutiques. The tour continues with a 2-hours cruise on the lake. Admire the lakeside villas and keep an eye out for Villa d'Este at Cernobbio, a luxurious hotel set in tropical gardens. The mild Mediterranean climate ensures an abundance of exotic and rare plants thrive year round. Docking at the town of Bellagio, one of the most famous towns on the lake, you can follow the steep alleys running up from the lake and stop for a coffee or gelato at one of the lively cafes housed in grand historic buildings. Spend some time at your leisure here before cruise to Cadenabbia and return to your coach for the journey back to Milan.
