If you are an independent traveller and prefer not to be with a group and would like to avoid the trouble of not only researching and planning your trip but also making the necessary reservations, why not let Goway be of assistance with this fully independent itinerary. Utilizing local airlines and transportation, this trip is a recommended and proven itinerary. Spend 5 days exploring Milan and the delightful surrounding towns and lakes.

Depart on a 1.5 hour walking tour of Milan. You will wander past the Teatro alla Scala and through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade and your guide will give you various glimpses into Milan's history. You will also enjoy a tour of Duomo, one of the world's largest and most striking Gothic Cathedrals. Continue on a panoramic tour of Arco della Pace, Cadorna, Churches of Santa Maria delle Grazie and Sant'Ambrogio, Corso Venezia, Piazza San Babila and Piazza Fontana. The bus will trasfer you to Santa Maria delle Grazie Basillica, which is a wonderful site to walk through and is also home to Da Vinci's painting 'The Last Supper'.

Visit Lake Como, where the elegance and sophistication of nearby Milan spills over to infuse what is for many, the most spectacular of the Lake District’s towns. Sate your shopping appetite away from the big city, then relax on a two hour Lake Como cruise. You’ll dock in Bellagio, one of the Lake’s most famous towns, with time to explore the narrow streets or relax with an espresso or gelato. A guided walking tour of Como completes your day.

Your last full day is a treat for Shakespeare lovers, exploring beautiful Verona, with a guided walking tour including Juliet’s balcony and the Roman Arena. After lunch, go on to Sirmione, a famously romantic town on the shores of Lake Garda. Visit the Rocca Scaligera and the Roman Villa before returning to Milan.
