Escape to the West: South West Ireland Mini Coach: Dublin to Dublin

Duration
5 Days
Prices From:
US$ 530

This small group Ireland tour departs from Dublin, taking in the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher, and the world’s oldest distillery, combining the culture, natural beauty, and tastes of Ireland.

This small group experience (maximum 16 participants) gets you off the beaten track so you get a real feel for the country. Our guides are hand-picked for their pride and passion for their country. Transportation is in modern Mercedes Benz mini-coaches and accommodation is in 3 star country hotels.

This 5-day round trip from Dublin focuses on Ireland’s southwest corner including many popular attractions and towns.

Set out through Kildare and Offaly, stopping at the world’s oldest legal distillery, Locke’s. Overnight in lively Galway, then set course for the Burren. This karst landscape might seem out of place in green and lush Ireland, but it supports some of the country’s most unusual flora, as well as early settlements. A more familiar side of the country lines the trails along the Cliffs of Moher, while an evening in Killarney is sure to unearth great food and local hospitality.

The Dingle Peninsula is one of Ireland’s richest regions when it comes to ruins and monuments. Explore Slea Head, Inch Beach, and Dingle town before heading back to Killarney. The following day, follow the Ring of Kerry to enjoy views of Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohil. Visit Derrynane house, built in 1702, Moll’s Gap, and the Ladies View. Admire the Torc Waterfall before one last night in Killarney.

Your final day is dedicated to the Blarney region, including the famous namesake Castle and Stone (though the wisdom of actually kissing it is questionable). Stop into the village for some shopping and visit the Cashel Monastery before returning to Dublin.
