Day 2

Florence with Kids: Discover the City

On this special tour, the specialized guide will engage kids and teenagers through fascinating stories, anecdotes and legends, while adults will appreciate the historical and artistic aspect of Florence along a route that touches all the landmarks of the old center. Starting with a pleasant stroll from the Piazza della Republica, children will be amazed by the discovery of the old system of the Roman city from which began the history of Florence. Then, you continue to the ancient and colorful Straw Market to see the famous bronze pig of Florence. Admire the view over the Arno River and the picturesque Ponte Vecchio, before reaching Piazza della Signoria and the dominating famous Palazzo Vecchio. Adults will enjoy the wonders of a true outdoor museum while the kids will be captivated by stories of secret passages, vanished churches, navigators and great artists. Proceed to the neighborhood of Dante Alighieri and be fascinated by the romantic stories and the magic of the medieval center and where children will also meet Pinocchio, the most famous wooden puppet in the world. Take a break and enjoy the taste a real homemade gelato. Finally reach the religious center of the city and admire the cathedral with the famous Brunelleschi's Dome, the Baptistery and the elegant Bell Tower.
